GCS Is Expanding & Filling Up Fast

It is definitely not too early to enroll - so sign up now!

For the 2010-2011 school year, Galesburg Christian School will begin offering half-day classes for three years old as part of GCS Early Learning.  Early Learning also provides full-day Kindergarten with K-3&4 and K-5.  Also new is the beginning of GCS High School with classes for ninth grade.

GCS offers a Christ-centered education of academic excellence enriched with classes in: physical education & basketball, art,  Spanish, computers, spelling and speech competition and chess club. Daily prayers, weekly chapels, and year-round service are an important part of Galesburg Christian School.  With loving teachers who see this not as their jobs, but as their ministry GCS provides a great foundation for its students' future growth.

Daily & Weekly Plans Available

Participants will enjoy daily Bible lessons, a week of Vacation Bible School, cheerleading and basketball training, crafts, Friday programs presented by the U of I Extension including nutrition, gardening, and 4-H, and many opportunities for fun!

The purpose of Galesburg Christian School is to train students — spiritually, mentally, and physically — in an environment of educational excellence that will preserve and promote the standards and the faith taught in a Christ-centered home. Our goal is to prepare these students to take their places in the home, the church, the community, and their vocation or professions in a manner that they may grow in grace and in the knowledge of God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

SPIRITUALLY…To bring each student to a saving knowledge of Christ with a heart and mind to know Him and serve Him as Savior and Lord.
ACADEMICALLY…To educate students with a solid foundation of learning in Bible, and in those subjects mandated by the State. To emphasize not only the facts in those subjects, but to ensure that each student has the training to apply that learning in daily living.
SOCIALLY…To help students be transformed by the Word of God, and not to conform to the world. To encourage a desire in the heart of each student to be an active Christian citizen in their church, community and country.
PHYSICALLY…To teach students that their bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, emphasizing physical fitness, good health practices, and purity.
